We went to the Grand Canyon.  I liked hiking down it and climbing rocks.  I got a junior ranger badge.

But the scariest thing was on the way home.

On the way home from the Grand Canyon our train was robbed.  I saw hoeses with cowboys running after the train.  They had mask on.  We were walking from the café car and we hid from the robbers.  They were stealing money.  Then second robber saw us and were going throw Preston off the train after they stole money.  It was very scary.  The marshal came to save us.  He put the robbbers in jail.

The blog should show up on Facebook thanks to Cindo!!!!

Never measure life by how many breathes you take but by how many moments take your breathe away….clearly whoever said this was looking at the Grand Canyon!

We were on our way the the Grand Canyon Railway RV park and I was telling a story I saw on 20/20 about a woman and the daughter and friend getting lost in death valley.  They went down a dirt road and were lost for 3 days.  Can’t common sense help you in those situations????  Well not even an hour later we get off the 40 and are driving through a tiny town…doesn’t feel right!  When the GPS tells us to turn down a dirt road…..we stop!

Apparently, I put the wrong address in!  Made a call and got ol’Bessy turned around.  I don’t think that will be the first detour we take!

I’m doing well. I got to see the super cross championship it was so cool and  when the race was over confetti shot out of the building and fire works were every                       where! That was fun but my next stop is the grand canyon. I’m really exited, I think we get to take a hike down it.  I get to take a train from our r.v park to the grand canyon .

Its 6:12 in the morning, Ami is blogging, I’m drinking my coffee, and 2 out of 4 boys are farting in the top bunk.

Nana is here on the first leg of my trip…She jumps in the drivers seat of the motorhome and says my turn! I’m driving.  I go to the back of the motorhome to make sure the car tow system is working as we pull out….I’m waiting and waiting…she’s taking her time, I am thinking.  So I go to check on her.  As I open the door and step on the step the motorhome moves…eek…I quickly shut the door and run back to car….and wait nothing is happening.  I give up and go to the passengers cab door this time.  I jump in the passenger seat to find nana with a perplexed look on her face.  “Hmmm” she says….  When I ask her what’s wrong, she informs me the motorhome is broken.  When she puts it in drive it goes in reverse.

“Well nana…..if you turn the motorhomes engine on it will work properly!”  We laugh and pull out!

Im feeling a lot more exited about this trip. Supercross was so fun! I got to high five all of the main riders! We’re going to the Grand Canyon next! I’m going to miss all of my friends and family on this trip.  But I have a great adventure ahead of me!

Last kiss for a while

Last kiss for a while

When we got the tickets to Supercross, we thought it would be a great place to say bye to Mike.  That way we are not leaving our home and him.  So he went with us to our first stop and is flying home.  I’m usually not a big fan of public loving…. he so great….so awesome… I’m so in love …my husband is amazing…blah blah blah

But today, I’m going to be one of “those” people!  You see Mike and I are a little different than some couples.  Mike likes everything structured and stay home to relax and I like to flutter around and fly by the seat of my pants.  Sometimes I feel jealous, when I see couples that are always doing stuff together and seem to be so attached to each other.  That is until my friends are dreading asking their spouse if they can go do something.  Then I feel grateful.  Mike and I  are both really independent people and have built this life in a way that neither of us would ever try to crush or stop the others dream.  Even if it is hard on the other person we always support and never say no.  I actually learned this from Mike.  He is much better at supporting me than I am him.  When I brought this idea up, he laughed and said sounds great!  I don’t think he actually really thought I would do it. So to his surprise when the plans started coming together I could see him stressing out that this was going to happen.  So true Mike form. …He kissed me on the forehead and said I would rather you didn’t do this but I know you are going to, so lets make you safe.  He got the motorhome ready, got a great car for me to  tow, top of the line towing system, triple A RV service and a spreadsheet that has formulas that change all the dates of my arrival days depending on how long I stay at one place.

I know this has been hard on him.  He is a jerk one minute and kissing my ears telling me he will miss them the next minute.  He gives me crossroads in my trip where I could just come home, waits a couple days, then he books his airline ticket for the weekend.

When I married Mike I told him “I have wings, promise me you will never try to clipped them.”  He has kept his promise.
